Welcome to our site! We are a very small hunting club located in Chatham county North Carolina. We formed our hunting club in 2008 primarily to establish a small club where we could find a decent lease and split the fee across all members.
MDBR stands for Managing Doe to Buck Ratio and with our MDBR club utilizing QDM (Quality Deer Management) practices, we are always working to improve our deer herd.

"The Fuzz" made it through the 2019 season, will he return in 2020?
MDBR was formed when we decided to find a Chatham County lease. While a few of the members have changed over the years, the main core of guys are still members. This is our 15th year at our current lease in Chatham County and we have already started our plans for the 2020 hunting season. In 2013, we added 125 acres to our existing 225 acre lease, now giving us 350 acres.
One of our objectives, is to promote hunting to our younger generation. Several of our members have kids and we really try to get them involved in the outdoors. In previous years, several members were able to bring out their kids and/or spouses and enjoy our hunting lease. We are looking forward to getting them back out there for the 2022 season.
Spring 2022 is here! As we roll into April, we are scheduling our official work days on the lease. We typically plan at least 4 work days, which represents over 100 hours out on the lease preparing for the upcoming season. We are currently working on preparing our food plots. We have increased from 5 plots to 8 plots. We have plots planted a several Whitetail Institute products such as Imperial Clover, No-Plow, Extreme, and Chicory Plus. We'll discuss this more on our Food Plots page and provide a few pictures showing our progress throughout the year.
